In Search of Christopher Peacock Hardware

As we all know, kitchen hardware is the equivalent of jewelry for the kitchen--the right hardware can truly make your kitchen!  But not unlike jewelry, hardware can be expensive!  So I went on a hunt for affordable door and drawer pulls which mimic the look of Christopher Peacock's newer, contemporary style hardware which he is using on his Contemporary Collection.


I found there is a decent amount of information available on the Internet provided by bloggers and renovators on Christopher Peacock Cabinetry's hardware.  Willow Decor's blog here very thoroughly researched sources for his scullery and refectory style hardware, and found companies that a standard internet search would undoubtedly miss--super helpful. 

But what about his Contemporary Collection?  This hardware tends to be very sleek, minimal, with a longer length than the bin pulls of the scullery line.  I went back to the sources referenced by Willow Decor--Van Dyke's, Merit Metal, Kennedy Hardware, Stillwell Industries, Nanz, and Restoration Hardware, and with the exception of Resty Hardware, found very little in the longer length that DIDN'T run $30-60 PER PULL! 

So far, my search for affordable, long pulls in Nickel (the preferred finish for Christopher Peacock's kitchens, it seems) found this one pull from Top Knobs.

This pull, or one very similar, appears in several Christopher Peacock kitchens, and is a VERY AFFORDABLE $12!!  This is the Top Knobs M1286 and M1152, offered in 3 finishes (under different catalog numbers)

I also ended up going back to the tried and true Restoration Hardware, and found several sophisticated pulls offered in polished nickel in various lengths.  Here are a couple I really like:

This is the Restoration Hardware Bistro Pull.  This has very much the same feel as this Christopher Peacock kitchen's hardware:

This one is a little cleaner looking, the Restoration Hardware Ephram Pull.  This is offered in sizes up to 12", giving a lot of flexibility for appliance pulls, or just a heftier hardware look in your kitchen.

Thanks to Melissa for pointing out that Hickory Hardware has a very stylish nickel pull called the Studio Pull at only $4.99 each.

The only downside to this fabulous pull is that it doesn't come in the 8-10"+ lengths that you'd see on Christopher Peacock's contemporary cabinets, but only in a smaller, 6 1/8" length, which feels more vintage than contemporary to me.  Too bad!  Here is the link.
